This image depicts two flags with very similar designs. On the left is the flag of the United Arab Emirates. From top to bottom, the design is composed of three horizontal stripes colored green, white and black. A red vertical stripe runs down the left-hand side. The design was probably influenced by the flag of Jordan shown on the right. As we can see, the order of the horizontal stripes is reversed and there is a red triangle or chevron instead. In the center of the triangle is a white, seven-sided star.
