When you’re at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on. How far do you agree with Theodore Roosevelt quote?
The famous quote “when you’re at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on” written by Roosevelt has become a debatable topic. Many people claim that we should be strong to face any difficulty at the hard times. I completely agree with the statement that we should not give up on hard times in life. This essay would further elaborate on the reasons why we should not be disappointed with examples.
To begin with, the above statement is all about not giving up. If in case, all seems lost and you are at end of the problem, we all should hold on and help yourself by adding a solution of the problem at the end. Take Franklin D. Roosevelt, had a lot of hard times in his entire life. He suffered from Polio disease when he was an adult, but he never lost his self-confidence and joined the army and guided the USA with the great depression and fought in World War 2. The above example shows that problems are common in everyone’s life but the person who fights with these problems with bravery is the real hero.
Furthermore, according to Roosevelt, if everything was not difficult, nothing would have much value. So, the harder you work for something, the more value you wish to place on it. That is the reason we usually remember things which we do with greater intensity lt. Many things in life are exasperating. Sometimes we think giving up seems the easiest way out. But there are times when hanging on will let you go where you want to be. For example, there are a lot of problems in our daily life, give up is not the solution and it will never lead our life happily. So, every person has some kind of problem and we must tackle the problems instead of giving up to live a healthy and prosperous life.
Overall, one can reach out to the conclusion that it is better to tie a knot at the end of the rope and wait for it.
