It is important to preserve the beautiful buildings of the past, even if it will be expensive to do so. To what extent do you agree or disagree with it?
Old buildings are the presentation of our history and are of great archaeological importance to our nation. Nowadays, it has become a trend in today’s world to preserve old buildings without considering the cost of renovation. In this essay, I will discuss whether old buildings should be protected even if it is costly for the owners to maintain them.
There are myriad of arguments in favor of renovating and repairing old buildings. The most preponderant one is rooted in the fact that these are such a creative and invaluable creations of ancestors. Not only people have to spend money to reconstruct the ancient buildings, but they can also earn heavy income from visitors. Needless to say, these merits stand building owners in good stead, as far as finding a considerable long-term income.
Another pivotal aspect of this point is that these old buildings should be protected in order to retain the historic roots. These valuable buildings are very important for the future generation to make them aware of their own culture and history. Along with giving knowledge regarding cultural heritage and history, the owner of the ancient building can apply some fee for renovation purpose of the building. So, that is why many people are in favor of this statement. And there should be some support from the government in ensuring their safety and maintenance.
In view of above said arguments one can conclude that despite some drawbacks, benefits can get from protecting old buildings too great to ignore.
