This line chart illustrates the different forms of electricity generation in China between 1994 and 2004. There are two main types of electricity: conventional thermal and hydroelectric. As we can see from the graph, electricity generation has been increasing steadily through this decade, starting at approximately 900 billion kilowatt-hours in 1994 and rising to over 2000. We can also observe that conventional thermal generation is much more common than hydroelectric power, and accounts for most of the growth.
