The following diagram shows annual sunshine hours for the country of France. The northern areas experience the smallest duration of sunshine each year at less than 1750 hours. Most of central France receive up to 2000 hours annually and the southern regions receive anywhere between 2250 and 2750 hours. One statistical outlier is Charante-Maritime on the west coast where the weather is abnormally sunny.
