The given lecture was about Language and music. According to the speaker, we can see that their are evidence between language and music at three levels of analysis. He mentioned the grammar of the language and the grammar of music from Noam Chomsky’s theories. He talked about, both music and language have rhythmic systematic patterns of timing accent and grouping. Both language and music have melody-structured patterns of the pitch. Moreover, he mentioned we can easily make out a lot of emotion from a person’s voice and music.
