In academic studies, grouping students according to academic abilities is good or not good? Give your opinion?
In this competitive era, academic skills play a significant role to make student’s career brighter. Every student has its own capability to grab the knowledge. However, some individuals are in favor of grouping the students according to their educational abilities while others reject to this notion and are totally against it. I strongly believe that grouping students based on their capabilities can be a plus. In this essay, I shall outline both the aspects which will further lead to a plausible conclusion.
There are myriad of arguments in favor of my opinion. Participating of students as per their academic subject knowledge will motivate more and more students to work hard to improve their academic performance. Moreover, they will compete in a more desperate manner to score good results which can further lead to fruitful results to them. For example, students who do not devote more time to their studies will eventually start preparing to get in the upgrade group. Thus, they will give their best in studies.
On the other hand, participation in group may distract the student’s mindset as they can feel the inferiority complex which can lead them to ignore their studies. This might lead to lose of interest from studies. Furthermore, the pupils who are weak in studies can lose their self-confidence for even rest of their life as they can feel separated. So, this can be worst for their future.
To recapitulate, in the view of arguments outlined above, one can conclude that the grouping of students according to their academic abilities should not be done as this can lead to lose of confidence in themselves and hence, will hinder their progress.
