There are a great number of people who believe that allocating budget for space research is advantageous, while others disagree on an opponent’s view. I strongly believe that higher administration should spend the money on crucial environmental issues. In this essay, I will elaborate my point of view by discussing the advantages of space research.
First of all, it is argued that space mining plays a vital role in the diffusion of information about outer space. This is to say that such information should increase the scientists’ determination and etiquettes towards many unanswered questions, therefore, their enthusiasm will be amplified in a more descriptive way, which eventually leads to the advent of new technologies. For instance, the successful launch of satellites could give the scientists a vivid picture of current crucial environmental issues such as global warming, so that they would be able to take decisive actions to ameliorate the situation.
In addition, it is claimed that the population of the planet is growing at the alarming rate so that having an extra space would be beneficial to accommodate more people. However, this would require accurate knowledge about the conditions of other planets and galaxies, which can be acquired through space programs. Specifically, a research study conducted by Yale University in 2015 has found that there seem to be 1000 billion planets in our universe, therefore, there are most likely a great number of planets that can support human civilization. According to the above-stated examples, it illustrates that the benefit of space research is obvious, and the human’s future could be enormously and constructively affected.
In the end, the foregoing discussion propounds the view that space programs could bring immense benefits to our lives. It is highly recommended that governments should take the perception of these facts and establish guidelines in order to educate more people.
